We’re back blogging, and here’s what’s next.

Dear friends,

We took a little bit of time off the blog to do some planning and to get refreshed as we head into summer. Like I’ve said many times, Belanger is open for business and we still have a ton of great Pontiac Buick GMC inventory to offer you. Plus, if you’re already a GM customer, there’s a new loyalty program that will instantly save you an additional $1,000 on any new GM purchase!

As many of you know, we have been identified as a dealership that will not be flying the GM banner after 2010.  We get a lot of questions about our future, so I thought we would take a few moments to update you on our plans, as they exist at this point.

We have no plans of going away. We operate one of the most beautiful and technically modern facilities in all of eastern Ontario, and that’s not going to change. We are researching our options, which will no doubt include carrying a major brand that is currently not represented in the area. We’ll keep you posted on that one.

Our used car business is the busiest it’s ever been,  and we couldn’t be happier about it. We’re increasing selection weekly, so you really need to drop by and check it out for yourself.

And Belanger RV also continues to be a really positive surprise for us. We’ve always loved the RV life, but we had no idea how active and loyal the RV community is. A lot of people are looking to travel their own road, and we’re sure having fun helping them get there!

With the success of Belanger RV, many of our customers were also looking for trucks, so it was only natural that we decided to go back to our roots and bring back our very popular Belanger Truck Centre, and we’re quickly ramping up towards having the best selection of truck s of all makes in Eastern Ontario, providing buyers east of Bank Street with more choices and better financing options than ever before.

Finally, our state of the art service and body centre is really popular, and we’re already planning to increase our service offering so that regardless of where you buy your vehicle, we will be able to offer you a level of turnkey service no others can offer, including ensuring that your warranty service is performed as required, regardless of your manufacturer.

As you can see, the Belanger Automotive Family isn’t going away. Actually, quite the opposite is true. So, to all of our amazing customers and staff, all we can say is please stick with us, and your loyalty will be rewarded – we guarantee it!

It’s a great weekend to hit the road!

Hi folks, After the incredible pace we’ve had going around here, especially leading up to our great off-site sale last weekend, we did a lot of catching up this week. As a result, the blog was a little secondary in our attention. I’m taking a short, but anticipated break this weekend, but I’ll be back at it next week and I’ll be active in the blog as well. What a Weekend!

If you’re a fan of our blog or if you’ve turned on a radio or opened a paper recently, you’ll know that this past weekend we held our biggest Off-site sale in Belanger Pontiac Buick history at the Place d’Orleans Shopping Centre. 

Let me tell you folks, moving this many vehicles and setting up a sale like this is a ton of work, and our staff was amazing in getting everything perfect. The weather was tailor-made for a good outside sale, and as a result, we had a great one! We saw many old friends and made plenty of new friends as well. It was a lot of fun.

There was plenty of interest in the various car and truck deals offered, but we were pleasantly surprised by the huge interest in the RV section of our sale. We couldn’t believe how popular the RV’s were. No doubt about it: summer is here and families are looking to hit the road in real comfort and with a lot more affordably and control than planes, trains and hotels might offer. It’s a great trend, and don’t worry: if you missed the sale, just drop by and see us at Belanger Pontiac or Belanger RV on Youville Drive. Plenty more inventory to choose from, and as I’ve said before, we’re dealing!

Well, day one of our big Off-site Sale is in the books and a big thanks goes out to our amazing staff for their huge efforts in getting this sales event ready. They’ve worked tirelessly! We had a great first day, so we’re sending another big thank you out to all our friends (old and new) for coming out and participating in the sale. We hope you enjoy your purchase!

Cutting all of the sales talk out, I’m here to tell you that my father, my brother and I take great pride in our name and in the support we have received through the decades and continue to receive, regardless of the times. It’s really that simple, and we use this understanding to guide our actions daily.

Photos from our weekend “Bicycles for Humanity” Event

Along with other local Pontiac Dealers in the Ottawa region, we participated in this years “Bicycles for Humanity” bicycle drive. 

Bicycles for Humanity–Ottawa was founded, in the spring of 2007,  by two friends who were inspired by Pat Montani’s grassroots organization Bicycles for Humanity.

Simply put, unused bicycles in your garage or basement can make an incredible difference to those in need of transportation to receive or provide healthcare, to get to work, or to attend school. These bicycles represent a real opportunity to change the lives of those less fortunate.

Bicycles for Humanity (B4H) held a bicycle drive from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday with the goal of collecting 350 to 400 used mountain bikes to ship to community groups in Namibia. They took in donations of bikes, tools, repair and patch kits, inner tubes, tires, helmets, backpacks and cash.

We were proud to be a part of this really important initiative.
